Man Charged with Murder After Teen Shot in Stockwell

A 32-year-old man has been charged with murder following the shooting death of a teenage boy in Stockwell last week.

Omar Prempeh, from Stanstead Road in Forest Hill, was charged on Saturday in connection with the killing of 16-year-old Lathaniel Burrell.

Lathaniel was shot on March 4 near Stockwell Tube station, on Paradise Road. He died at the scene.

Prempeh is set to appear in Bromley Magistrates’ Court today.

The Metropolitan Police stated that specially trained officers are supporting Lathaniel’s family during this difficult time.
