A 25-year-old man was gunned down by four unidentified attackers in Aligarh’s Telipada area during the early hours of Friday, authorities reported on Saturday. The assailants, who arrived on two motorcycles, managed to escape, and police are currently analyzing CCTV footage to track them down.
The victim, identified as Haris Khalid alias Katta, had stepped out of his home at approximately 3:15 am for the pre-dawn Ramzan sehri (meal). His uncle, Mohammed Khalid, informed the police that Haris was standing on the road near his residence when the four masked individuals approached and opened fire, discharging six to seven bullets before fleeing the scene.
According to Shoaib, Haris’ cousin, he was not known to have any disputes or conflicts. The family suspects that hired assassins might have been responsible for the murder. No arrests have been made yet, and investigations are ongoing.
