The Memphis Police Department has launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a man.
Authorities responded to reports of gunfire around 6:36 p.m. on Eyrie Drive, close to Ridgway Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Sadly, he was declared dead at the scene.
According to police, the victim and the suspect were acquainted.
