Three members of a family from Telangana lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Florida, USA, a relative confirmed on Monday. Among the deceased were 35-year-old Pragathi Reddy, a software professional, her six-year-old son, and her 56-year-old mother-in-law. Her husband, who was behind the wheel, sustained injuries in the crash.
The family, originally from Tekulapalli village in Ranga Reddy district, was reportedly struck by a truck traveling in the wrong direction. Pragathi’s father, Mohan Reddy, shared the heartbreaking news, stating that he received information about the accident at 4 AM. “My daughter moved to the US in 2012 for her MS. We were informed that a wrong-way vehicle collided with their car, causing their immediate deaths. My son-in-law and my eight-month-old grandson survived,” he said, overcome with grief.
Mohan Reddy, a former local body representative from Tekulapalli, mentioned that he would soon be traveling to the US. A family member further revealed that the accident took place while Pragathi’s family was returning home from a weekend trip.
